North Pole Breakfast 2015

We started the Elf on the Shelf activities a couple of years ago and, this year, while looking on Pinterest for EotS inspiration I came across the concept of a North Pole Breakfast to kick of the Elf season and knew I needed to add that to our plan.
C has been best friends with K-G since he started at a new nursery when he was 2.  They bonded from day one and, despite going off to different primary schools, have remained the bestest of friends and just love spending time together.  So when we planned a sleepover for last night I knew this would be the ideal time to have our North Pole Breakfast.

After the boys, finally, settled down for their "nap over" I set the table for the morning with Santa and Snowman themed place settings and serving dishes, a welcome sign, a colouring page and a goody bag for each of them.

As soon as I heard the first morning giggles I left Daddy to entertain the boys while I pulled together our treats.

A snowman platter of delicious donuts.

Santa Pancakes

Strawberry Yogurt with Elf Magic Sprinkles

Snowman Cupcakes

And, of course, hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and a few more sprinkles

It got a HUGE thumbs up from the boys and they enjoyed colouring in their elf pictures after breakfast (before the sugar rush hit!!)

Definitely not the healthiest of breakfasts, but it's once a year and to see the huge smiles on their faces was just priceless.

In their goody bags they had the elf t-shirts at the top of this post, a Christmas book, a Minions magic flannel, some chocolate coins, a Christmas Kinder Egg and a Santa ornament for the tree.  They also had individual letters from Santa.

A magical welcome back for Alfie at the start of the advent season!!
